After stepping away from a demanding corporate career with no intention of returning, I found myself with several years before retirement and a deep desire to pursue something more meaningful.
Since 2020, I have been actively involved in dog rescue—starting in Cyprus and now continuing on a smaller scale in Spain.
Throughout this journey, I’ve always looked for ways to survive by diversifying my income while doing something I truly enjoy.
In Austria, it was running a hostel. In Cyprus, managing a short-term rental villa and apartment. Now, in Spain, it’s Casa Morayma, nestled in Lecrin, Granada.
Despite exploring various business opportunities and hobbies over the years, none ever truly resonated with me—until recently. Everything changed when I bought a candle-making kit from Amazon.es and unexpectedly discovered a passion for the craft.
I’m incredibly excited to turn this newfound hobby into a business. Starting with sales at local markets, I plan to expand by launching an online shop—creating not only an additional source of income but also pursuing something that brings me genuine joy and a sense of purpose.
